Sharkmuffin Reveals Subscription Service: Shmoof

Sharkmuffin – Tarra Thiessen, Natalie Kirch, and Janet LaBelle – has long been my favorite band to listen to while punting empty beer cans, knocking over newspaper racks, and rolling my ankle while pretending to hike. I’ve eaten at least four pizzas in North Park to their album Chartreuse. Played their song “I Called You From the Moon” so often that every neighbor knows the track’s lyrics, whether they care to or not. And, just today, nodded for thirty straight minutes when reading about the band’s new subscription service, Shmoof.

Offering three different monthly plans, the Brooklyn based trio offer packages ranging from 3 to 15 dollars. If you already spent most of your paycheck on cigarettes, Netflix, and flammable space heaters from the clearance section of CVS, Sharkmuffin’s affordable subscription plans are within your wheelhouse. Operating almost like Patreon, this is a service that will benefit one of the best bands on this increasingly terrible planet.

We urge you to get out there and score a dope tarot card reading, limited edition cassettes, and history lessons by the raddest bassist in the known world. I’m going to sign up today after I pour hot coffee on my hands because it’s, like, 60 degrees out in San Diego and my circulatory system has shut down. Do the right thing.
