Happy Hallofiend: A Spooky Playlist

Mommy Long Legs

By now, you’ve probably had a shot glass thumping party where you dressed up as Kate Beckinsale from Underworld 18. Maybe something topical, like Tony Romo in a sling or Eleven from “Stranger Things.” Fine. There was probably some Cramps playing. Maybe some Suicide. And your friend, Greg, accidentally dumped an entire bag of plastic spiders into your vodka sherbet punch, a concoction that you painstakingly made over a course of hours. Still, it was super fun, right? Good.

If you’re like me and stayed inside over the weekend, vacuuming and eating chocolate peanut butter swirled Tillamook ice cream, you are also to be feared. Don’t worry. Since it’s actually Halloween, I put together a Spotify playlist of spooky songs. The scariest thing for me, right now, is that my right contact has been hurting my eye all day and I refuse to do anything about it. I’m really getting into the pain of this holiday. Anyway, here’s a pretty legit compilation that ranges from crunchy guitar riffs (Terry Malts) and unhinged psycho-billy (Hasil Adkins) to late-nineties hip-hop duos (Method Man and Redman). Enjoy the spiral.
