Shannon Doyle and Anya Battaglino are not only uncompromising defenders with unquestioned shot power, but the former Boston University Terriers also share respect for carbonated, high-energy pregame music. Next to Boston Pride’s Hilary Knight, Battaglino has been, arguably, the most recognized face in the National Women’s Hockey League. The two Connecticut Whale defenders shared their favorite songs with Cinema Spartan. From the supercharged “Hit the Quan” to the hypnotic, serpentine production of “Truffle Butter”, here are a few favorites chosen by Doyle and Battaglino.

Hit the Quan by iLoveMemphis

$ave Dat Money by Lil Dicky

Truffle Butter by Nicki Minaj
